Glad you eventually discovered you were Autistic. It takes much too long for so many of us, and some never realise. 😔

I was hyperlexic too, starting to read at around 2 or 3, and didn’t have to put much effort into most school work. But I was always bad at history (!). Also, being aphantasic, I am in complete, uncomprehending awe of your ability to preview coloured versions of photos in your head! 😊

Wonderfully written, and thanks for sharing. I can relate - I'm also a late diagnosis, and I joke with my friends that it was SOOOO obvious that whole time (I mean, I can remember every phone and credit card number I've ever had but not peoples' names? Come on! ><)
