The beauty is in the details

Me being a perfectionist, and what I've been working on

It's almost infuriating how much these intricate photographs capture my attention.

Why would I colorize a simple picture when I can colorize a massive one, overcrowded with shops, shop signs, shop letterings, people, hats, horses, carriages, trees, and horse shit?

It's always been this way, and I doubt it will ever change.

My preference for photos that almost destroy my sanity wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't such a perfectionist. However, I am.

I've started working on three different photographs this week alone, all with the same level of detail and complexity I mentioned earlier. The issue with these images is that I can only tell if they'll look good in color after I've worked on a good portion of them. I can "sort of" get that answer just by looking at the original, but I won't know for sure until I put in a few hours of actual work.
