“How do you know if that woman's dress was blue or pink?"

"Did Abraham Lincoln really have blueish-grayish eyes?”

"How did you choose the colors of that building?”

These are some exemples of the questions I receive more often since I started to colorize photos in 2015. I get it - it's hard to understand the process if you have never opened Photoshop or any other photo editing software before. It's also easy to assume that the colors were magically identified by an algorithm, or that I have some kind of mystical skills that allow me to read the "greyscale" and identify what colors correspond to each different shade. That's not the case.
